The Ford Taurus enters the 2010 model year completely redesigned. Featuing a sportier exterior and improved dynamics, the Ford Taurus lineup is expanded by a high-performance, all-wheel-drive SHO version powered by a twin-turbo version of the standard 3.5L V6 engine.

For 2009, the Taurus adds an entry-level SE trim. All models get more standard safety equipment including AdvanceTrac electronic stability control and Ford's SOS-Post Crash Alert System, which unlocks the vehicle doors and activates the horn and emergency flashers if the airbags are deployed.

The 2008 Ford Taurus X succeeds the prvious Ford Freestyle and features a stronger 3.5-liter V6 engine, along with a host of improvements inside, outside, and underneath when compared to the old Freestyle. With good handling and a comfortable ride, the Taurus X is a fine SUV.
