The V8-powered Chevrolet Impala SS has been dropped for 2010, as has the 2LT package.

For 2009, the Chevrolet Impala gains significant safety enhancements in the form of standard thorax side-impact airbags, seatbelt pretensioners for front-seat lap belts and anti-lock brakes with traction control for all models.
Bluetooth is available, the Chevy Impala SS gets 18-inch flangeless alloy wheels, and there are three new exterior colors.

The Impala is Chevrolet's largest sedan and offers a roomy interior, strong engines, and a comfortable ride.
For 2008, StabiliTrak is standard on 2LT, LTZ, and SS models. The audio system has been upgraded for 2008, and XM Satellite Radio is standard on all models, as is OnStar. A 50th Anniversary Edition adds a sport tuned suspension, leather seats, and other unique items to the LT's equipment.
