For 2007, Chevrolet increased the size of both engines. For 2008, Chevy has cleaned up the Colorado's appearance, with less charcoal-colored trim for a more monochromatic look, especially at the LS trim level, which now wears body-color bumpers. In general, fewer trim levels and option packages are offered.

The Chevrolet Colorado is all-new for 2004 and replaces the aging S-10 pickup. Slightly larger than its predecessor, the Colorado offers more interior space and is available in Regular, Extended, and Crew Cab bodystyles. It comes powered by four- and five-cylinder engines and features a better ride than the S10.
