Also new for 2008 is the limited Wolfsburg Edition 2.0T, featuring the GLI's 2.0l FSI engine, leatherette seat-upholstery, and 17-inch alloys. Only 12,500 cars will be built.

For 2007, the Jetta drops the diesel engine and adds a 2.0T trim that fits in below the GLI, which it shares its 2.0l 4-cylinder FSI engine with.

In addition, all models receive a tire pressure monitoring system and an auxiliary audio input jack.

After its redesign for the late 2005 model year, the Volkswagen Jetta line up adds a new top-of-the-line GLI trim. The GLI comes powered by a 2.0l 4-cylinder FSI engine and adds a leather-wrapped steering wheel, bi-xenon headlights, foglights, and 17-inch alloy wheels.

All other models remain unchanged for 2006.
