For 2009, the Release Series 5.0 joins the Scion tC lineup. The RS 5.0 features gloss black exterior paint and numerous parts from TRD, including a sport muffler, 18-inch multi-spoke alloy wheels, lowering springs, and an upgraded interior. The Spec Package is discontinued for 2009.
The Scion tC has been subtly restyled inside and out for 2008. Apple iPod connectivity comes standard along with a Pioneer subwoofer. Navigation is now available. The Release Series 4.0 features Galactic Gray Mica exterior paint and comes with a DAMD body kit and black Alcantara seats.
For 2007, the Scion tC offers a stripped-down "Spec Package" model, as a basis for tuners and customizers. All models also receive a a tire-pressure monitor. The Release Series 3.0 adds KenStyle ground effects, darkened headlights, LED taillights, and unique interior bits.
After its launch as an all-new model for 2005, changes for 2006 Scion tC are limited to the addition of a new limited edition model.
Available in Blue Blitz Mica only, the Release Series 2.0 includes 17-inch alloy wheels, side and side curtain airbags, an a special Pioneer audio system.
